Every year since I started this blog I’ve been also sharing my adventures and experiences through Instagram, as one of my goals at Nomadic Chica is to give good quality images about the places I go.
Photography is one of my favorite ways to show my feelings and my way to see the world and that’s why Instagram is one of my favorite social media.
Instagram has become part of the daily life of many people since it started, and to me, it has also brought me a whole community and friends I’ve made while I was in Chile.
The Instagram community in Chile is growing and I’m really proud of being part of it, helping to organize Instameets, hunting ‘likes’ in long photo walks and I was even invited to give my first talk to the Instagrammers in Rancagua! (Here you can check some the very talented and my favorite Chilean Instagrammers!)
These are your favorite pictures and most liked shots of 2016 and I have only grateful feelings for everyone who have taken the time to spend it in my gallery.
I wish you 2017 full of likes and adventure!
Instagram Best Images of 2016
BRAZIL
Definitely, the most seen and shared shots were from Brazil.
With no doubt, it’s been one of my favorite destinations since I was there for the first time on 2015.
My favorite place to photograph was by far Rio Carnival in February, an amazing show full of colors, music, and lights. But those shots were not your favorites.
The favorite city on my gallery was Paraty, a dream town near the ocean, with cobbled streets and palm trees everywhere. Looks like a dream town and the few I wanted to stay several days just for the pleasure of walking and doing infinite photography walks.
CHILE
I’m so happy some of my Chile pictures where one of your favorites too!
Chile is my mother land and I really love it. It’s the only place where I can walk and talk to everybody as we share the same cultural and language code. It’s the place where I grew up and even if I loooooove to be abroad, I also adore to be in Chile. (as many others as you can check here).
These favorite pictures are from Valparaíso, one of the most beautiful cities due to its cultural, history and architecture scene. It’s located right in the Pacific Ocean and is only 120min from the capital, Santiago.
One of this pictures was taken during the first Instameet in Rancagua. A city located Southern from Santiago with beautiful architecture and landscapes around. We had a freezing journey with more than 100 people walking, sharing and taking pictures together and at the end of the day, I was giving my first public speaking!
PERU
Peru is by far one of the most interesting countries to visit in South America. It’s landscapes and the unique culture respecting the ancient traditions and are lived every day.
It was one of the most rewarding trips of 2016, first, because it was the first destination where I went solo, about 12 years ago and I didn’t went back until then. Second, because I was able to share part of this trip with my mom, who was always dreaming traveling to Cuzco and Machu Picchu, seeing the happiness on her face was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in 2016.
This trip was also very important to me it was meaning a reconnection with myself, clarifying what I want in life and also connecting with nature at Titikaka lake, a place that it was pending on my list since ever.
I hope 2016 was also full of great memories for you and wishing you 2017 will bring many beautiful moments to share.
Lovely post. Lots of fantastic photos on your insta! Feliz año! I hope you’re able to capture even more beauty this year.
